This is a posting that was written by me in one of the courses (Introduction to Physical Geography) at Northern Virginia Community College for the course's discussion board. The discussion dealt with desertification, namely whether desertification in the Sahel is permanent and how the problem can be addressed.

Term project report, GIS 200
The following is a project report written by me as part of my term project in one of the courses (GIS 200) at Northern Virginia Community College. The purpose of my project was to identify potential sites for a grocery store on the east side of San Antonio, Texas, based on such criteria as appropriate zoning type and proximity to densely-populated areas and major intersections.

Term project report, GIS 255 (excerpts)
The following are excerpts from a project report written as part of my term project in one of the courses (GIS 255, Introduction to Remote Sensing) at Northern Virginia Community College. The purpose of the project was to compare several gap-fill techniques (necessary for filling the gaps present in all Landsat 7 imagery since 2003, when that satellite's scan line corrector failed) for purposes of change detection in the Aral Sea area. Several other students collaborated with me on this project; only the portions of the report written by me are included below.
